Samaritan’s Purse Disaster Assistance Response Team has been doing essential relief and development work around the world since 1973. Their Emergency Disaster Relief program provides urgently needed assistance including food, water, and temporary shelter. They also mobilize specialized staff and equipment as well as hundreds of volunteers when natural disasters occur on Canadian soil, including emergency aid and help with clean-up in the wake of severe wildfires, floods, hurricanes, tornados, and more. Their Rapid Response Team chaplains are also deployed to pray with disaster victims and to offer them encouragement and hope.
In this episode we talk to Brent Davis, Canadian Ministries Director for Samaritan's Purse about the work they are doing nationally and internationally with their Disaster Assistance Response Team and humanitarian relief efforts.
