Promoting a climate smart Caribbean region is exactly what the Caribbean Climate-Smart Accelerator does.

The Accelerator brings together leaders to implement transformative climate action and accelerate projects deemed crucial to achieving their climate action goals. Their goal is to help the region rapidly achieve its climate smart action objectives.Twenty-six Caribbean Governments alongside some of the largest global companies, financial institutions, and foundations have joined the Accelerator to help the Caribbean become a beacon of climate-smart development.

In this episode, we speak with Racquel Moses, CEO of the Accelerator about the work they are doing in the region and where she sees opportunity for the Caribbean in the future.

Prior to taking on the role as CEO in January 2019, Racquel was country manager and regional public-sector director for Microsoft in Port of Spain, Trinidad. There she engaged with regional ministers and developed a digital transformation strategy for CARICOM countries. Previous to that she served as president of InvestTT, Trinidad and Tobago’s national investment promotion agency, where she implemented innovative methodologies resulting in multimillion dollars’ worth of growth in investments and exponential job growth from the agency.
