Corporate philanthropy and disasters is something that is top of mind for many non-profits currently feeling the effects of COVID on their operations. Eileen Sweeney has been in the field of Philanthropy for over 25 years. She has lead many organizations: from the outreach activities of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers of the NFL, to a charity focused start-up, to a $20-30M annual global giving budget that included grants and corporate contributions for the Motorola Foundation. In these roles her responsibilities have included driving corporate strategy for community relations, establishing Corporate Social Responsibility Steering Committees and leading corporate-wide and global employee volunteerism and disaster relief efforts.
In this MYD Global episode we speak with Eileen about the current state of corporate philanthropy, and how philanthropic efforts can be best directed towards disasters.
