Emergency Preparedness Week 2021 is a national event, supported by Public Safety Canada who works closely with provincial and territorial emergency management organizations, Indigenous organizations, non-governmental organizations, and the private sector to support activities at the local level.
For over 25 years, it has been an annual event, during the first full week of May. All of us have a role to play in an emergency. Emergency Preparedness Week is an opportunity to ensure you are prepared to protect yourself, your family and your community during an emergency.
In 2021, the theme is "Emergency Preparedness: Be Ready for Anything". The intent of this theme is to encourage Canadians to take action to become better prepared for the range of emergencies they could face in their region.
