On September 14th and 15th, 2018, Hurricane Florence pushed a wall of water up the Neuse river, into the town of New Bern, North Carolina. As water levels rose, storm surge occurred, and winds wailed through the streets, massive damage was imposed on both property and people.
While the full impact is still being assessed, total economic losses are likely to approach more than $200 Million.
